Indonesian Chicken Curry with Coconut Milk

Indonesian chicken curry is a wonderful blend of Thai spices and what can be better if they come in a combination with coconut milk. This is an easy to make recipe which directly takes you down to a candle light dinner on a shore of a beach, enjoying this exotic and rare blend of authentic spices.

Servings– 6

Cooking time- 30 – 40 minutes

What you need-

Coconut milk 8 tea spoon
One full chicken
Black paper-3/4 tsp.
Nutmeg powder-1tsp
Coriander powder 1tsp
Water 2cups
Salt ½ tsp
Oil-4tbsp
Onion-2{sliced}
Garlic -7 cloves {chopped}
Soya sauce-3tbsp
Bay leaves-3,
Mushroom-1cup
Lemon juice-3tbsp

 

How to make-

Take ½ coconut and add 2 cups of water. Grind it in a mixer until a fine paste and sieve it. Your Coconut milk is ready.

In a bowl marinate the chicken with salt, paper, nutmeg powder and coriander powder. Leave it for 1to2 hours.

Heat oil in a pan and fry onion till golden brown. Remove the onions from heat. In other pan fry the chicken pieces till they are semi done.

Add fried onion, garlic, soya sauce, bay leaves, mushrooms and coconut milk to the chicken and simmer till there is thick gravy & the chicken is cooked. Finally add lemon juice.

Now this fantastic dish is ready for serve. Serve it hot with rice or chapati.
