BRO (Border road organization) has done wonderful job to connect this heaven to India by building excellent roads to this difficult parts of India.

Ladakh is a paradise for biking expeditors, shopaholics, travellers and mountaineers. It is also famous for its rich monasteries, peaceful culture and traditional food. People here are very hospitable and warm to welcome you.

One day in Ladakh will be enough to get mesmerised by purest form of Nature and wonderful efforts of Indian army. Most amazing journey on the Earth to one of the world’s highest motor able road i.e. Khardungla pass is made available to you by BRO. This high altitude pass is at 18380ft above mean sea level. Travelling here on bike is the dream of all bikers and is one of the most adventurous and thrilling experience you can get. It is just one day of riding the ridges on this land of high passes, which will make you feel the greatness of mother earth. This pass is located near Leh which is the capital of Ladakh. If you leave early morning after taking permission from district magistrate then you can easily return by evening.

This one day amazing journey to top of the Khardungla pass is very scenic and full of thrill. First 20 kms are very good as well as enjoyable comfortably and after that rock, dirt and ice takes out best skills from the motorcyclists. This road has strategic importance also as all supplies are given to Siachin region from this road.


If you are not a bike enthusiast then you can explore Monasteries and Sindhu Ghat in and around Leh. Hemis monastery which is the biggest and richest in Ladakh is around 50 km from Leh. It has beautiful copper statue of Buddha founded in 1672. Thiksey monastery, yet another beautiful Buddha worship place well embraced with prayer wheels and bells. Exploring these monasteries brings inner peace and a sense of satisfaction in you.

One day in Ladakh will surely amaze you with humility of Buddhist culture and visual delight of Himalayan landscapes.
