All you have to do is to follow a skin care routine religiously similar to the routine cleansing of our bodies, like brushing our teeth and taking a bath. Here is a simple skin care routine that you could stick to and see wonders happen to your skin.
Follow basic 4-step skin care regimen. Stick to the basics of cleansing, exfoliating, toning and moisturizing your skin properly for a youthful skin. Never leave the house without applying a sunscreen containing SPF 30, at least.
Get a good cleanser that suits your skin-type. You could go for a cream-based cleanser if you have a dry skin and a clear cleanser for oily skin-type. Though you could wipe your face with some quantity of cleanser poured on a cotton ball, but, first washing your face with some lukewarm water could help you get better results. Washing the face with some warm water would help loosen the dirt and clogged pores. Cleanse the face with coin-sized amount of cleanser and then, wash off.
Exfoliation is an important step that most of us skip from our skin care regimen. Exfoliation is important for removal of dead skin and should be done; at least, twice a week and you could notice an almost immediate difference. Use a mild scrub in circular motions, avoiding the eye area and rinse.
Use a toner as per your skin-type. It helps in removing any left traces of make-up, dirt or even cleanser and tightens the pores to their original size.
Invest in a good moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated. Do not over moisturize the skin as it can clog pores. Apply a sunscreen 20 minutes before going out. Remember, you need to apply sunscreen even on cloudy days.
Apart for these four basic steps, you should take care of the delicate skin around eyes. Use a good under-eye cream before going to bed. Once a week, treat your skin to natural masks best suitable to your skin.
